We learned so much about Sri Lankan culture, history and everyday life because of him. He was also so patient and accommodating, and it genuinely felt like we were travelling with a friend rather than a guide. He made us feel safe and well taken care of the entire time. Unique Sri Lankan adventure thanks to Sri Lankan Tour Guide Best adventure ever thanks to Sarath and his company Sri Lankan Tour Guide. From first contact to dropping us back at Colombo airport Sarath was totally professional, polite, thoughtful, attentive and a font of knowledge on Sri Lankan culture and activities. Recommended to us personally by close friends we started bouncing ideas by email with Sarath for a multi- activity holiday that suited the needs of our family group. Sarath really understood our desire to escape the tourist herds and to actually gain some immersion in the culture, cuisine and history (whilst still ensuring that our two teenage girls were entertained with unique and adrenaline-filled activities) The experiences that he suggested (and simply made happen in a stress free manner) were incredible. We were driven and guided with an exceptional degree of skill. Sarath is proud of the multicultural nature of his country and showed this at its best. He understood well the different levels of accommodation required and arranged adjacent rooms in good Sri Lankan owned hotels with some amazing views. Activities were curated by him beautifully and we definitely experienced so much more than we ever would have on a package tour. Guides employed by him for activities respected nature and totally ensured our safety. He was brilliant at making the whole process seamless. He's also a very skilled driver which is an essential in Sri Lanka (as you'll discover) It was a truly wonderful experience. It's hard just to highlight a few things as it was all great however the rafting, snorkelling, village experience, train cycling with cooking class (changed from cycling with ancient city), temples, and secret waterfall were all stunning. The seafood buffet at a local fisherman's family house was an amazing surprise. It was the little touches, subtle recommendations, and mutual respect that elevated the experience so much. We are eternally grateful for the times when Sarath went the extra mile to make things special for our family. We put our trust into Sarath and he absolutely delivered on every promise. A true gentleman and a total professional.

A 5 day customized trip in July 2026 We chose Sarath SVT for a 5 day add on at the end of a trip with friends. We had organised customised transfers and sightseeing from Nurawara to Yala, Galle and then Negombo. In addition to the Yala safari where we were able to see Leopards in the wild Sarath suggested sightseeing during our transfers which was an added benefit. Fantastic driver and tour guide - highly recommended! We would highly recommend booking with Sarath and his team. From the moment Sarath met us at the airport with flower garlands we felt at ease and in very good hands! Sarath drove our family of five to Habarana, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Sinharaja and Ahangama. He made so many brilliant suggestions of activities to do that we would not have thought of - cycling through the paddy fields and a Sri Lankan cooking lesson were a highlight for us. When we visited Sigiriya and Dambulla he was so knowledgeable - his stories made it all come to life. He arranged a safari for us which was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and he was flexible when we wanted to change our plans. Above all Sarath is brilliant company - he is gentle, kind and has a great sense of humour. We really enjoyed our time with him and will miss him! Thank you for making our time in Sri Lanka so memorable 🙏

Private Driver/Guide makes a good vacation great! We just spent two weeks with Sareth touring Sri Lanka. Hiring a private driver/guide is the only way to go! Sareth was always on time, polite, respectful, and had good suggestions for each area when we didn't have our own plans. I mostly appreciated his flexibility - not just on a daily basis, but he was very understandable and thought first about our safety when we almost cancelled because of the Iran War. Thank God we didn't cancel. In the begnning, Sareth and I bounced ideas back and forth and he picked most of the hotels which were always a good choice (I recommend the smaller boutique hotels when possible). Overall, we had zero complaints about his service and highly recommend him and his company to anybody coming to Sri Lanka.

A wonderful experience We visited Sri Lanka for two weeks. Our driver/guide Steeve was a major reason why our trip was so enjoyable - punctual, attentive, diligent, and pleasant, it was a pleasure to have him to rely on. Add to this the regular check-ins from Sarath, and everything we needed was taken care of. Steeve was great in planning, making helpful suggestions at various points for additional things to see (and things not to see), time of day to go, and sequencing. And don't forget the little extra stops to try local delicacies - buffalo curd with kithul, red bananas, jackfruit, etc. Thank you Steeve, we'll come back again some day!

Travel Sri Lanka with Confidence We had the absolute pleasure of spending 11 days with Sarath as our guide and driver, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Sarath is more than just a guide—he’s a kind, patient, and thoughtful human being who made our trip unforgettable. From Colombo to the tea plantations, the cool hills of Nuwara Eliya, the ancient sites of Sigiriya and Habarana, to the stunning beaches of Trincomalee and Pasikuda—Sarath was with us every step of the way. One of the highlights was the scenic train ride we took from near Ella to Nanu Oya, a route filled with breathtaking views. Sarath handled all the logistics seamlessly, making the experience stress-free and enjoyable. He also arranged an incredible elephant safari, giving us the chance to witness these magnificent animals up close in their natural habitat. Throughout the trip, we encountered a wide variety of local wildlife—even spotting monitor lizards and monkeys along the way. Sarath adapted perfectly to our pace, always took our preferences into account, and made excellent recommendations based on his deep knowledge of the culture, customs, and seasons. The journeys were comfortable and scenic in his reliable, air-conditioned vehicle, with well-timed stops at hidden gems only a local expert would know. Sarath’s professionalism, warmth, and insight truly elevated our Sri Lanka experience. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an unforgettable journey through this beautiful country.

Stunnning family trip in Sri Lanka!! Just back from a week trip in Sri Lanka and it was way beyond expectations!! We’ve been to Colombo - Sigiriya - Kandy - Unuya - Yala - Galle - Colombo as family of 4 with 2 kids. Sarath was our driver & tour guide and he made the trip so smooth, taking care of us (toilet breaks, taking us to nice restaurants) and so accountable (always calm and on time). He was also very knowledgeable of stories wherever we visited which made the trip even more interesting, and he was really great with kids as well!
